False alarm

It has been awhile and I wish I could update you on my India trip. I wasn't thinking when I thought I would have unlimited Internet access. My facebook has a bunch of photos from the trip. Feel free to check them out. I will be updating when I find some time to relax.

Coming close...

So only two more days until the big trip. I am very excited/nervous about flying but everything will be fine. I saw some pictures of the first hotel I am staying in and it looks ridiculoussss, as in awesome. The shopping center is very close by which is very cool. My books should be arriving soon (the ones I have to read on the trip for my classes) and I am excited to start reading them. Tibetan Buddhism seems so interesting and I can't wait to learn more, visit the monasteries, and see the Taj Mahal!

Went into Boston yesterday and met up with Rachel, Connor, Jeff, and Hannah and had a great time. Ate some Baklava and Thai food on Tremont St. and Fanuel Hall, which was delicious. I'm nervous about the food in India but looking forward to trying as much as I can. Oh yes, and I just packed my one piece bathing suit... haven't worn one of these since the Speedo days.... but it is more like a tankini....hahaha

Heard from Jim Hagan tonight, the organizer of the trip and explained about my flight situation. I plan on getting to Logan around 530-6 a.m. and flying into JFK at 7 so I would arrive around 10. He said my plan sounded good and now I am actually feeling the reality of how crazy this experience is going to be (excited, nervous, overwhelmed, but more so ecstatic).

Next time I update I will be in New Dehli ... (wow)

See ya!

here it goes...

So I should of started blogging earlier since I've been through the all other social media websites such a livejournal, myspace, and facebook, telling people too much about my life so why not try another... School is over and I'm pretty sure that I got by with A's and B's which should be nice for my parents seeing that I may have trouble finding a job for the summer if I don't hear back about bartending at the local country club. The computer just underlined bartending.. is it not a word... i'm pretty sure it is. Microsoft word still underlines Obama in red and offers options to change it to Osama... I think they need to look into that.
Anywhooozy, I'm heading to India on the 15th.... 7 days... plane ride is about 15 hours so I need to find something to occupy my time. My good friend, Joey is going as well, which is exciting! My trip was organized through Wisdom Tours and lasts 2ish weeks. Each day is planned out from morning until night. We start in New Dehli, travel to Leh where we drive on the 3rd most dangerous road in the world, and then we head to Ladahk, where we are going to hike and eat mutton (sheep) and other exciting things of course haha. Dress code is crazy conservative and I have to cover most of my body at all time. The temp. when we arrive is supposed to be at 110 degrees. Shit. Better stay hydrated.
So home is nice as I await for my trip across the world. It is raining ridiculously hard... my parents took the pool down... and the basement was destroyed by a rain storm about a month ago so my dad is in the process of cleaning that mess up :-/.
Well my mom just offered to take me out to ice cream at Dairy Twist.... one of the hot spots in this boring town I live in (Pembroke, Ma). Woo- hoo!

Peace :)
